Delete your Ako Keja account

Applies to the Ako Keja Android app (com.akokeja.app) by Ako Keja.

Delete from the app (fastest)

Open Ako Keja and sign in.
Open the menu (☰) and tap Delete Account.
(It is also at the bottom of Privacy Policy in the menu.)
Confirm, then re-enter your password (or sign in again with Google) to verify it's you.

Deletion happens immediately.

Can't access the app?

Email sakakejallc@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

Your profile (name, email, phone number) and your sign-in account
Your property listings, including photos, videos and landlord/caretaker contact details
Your saved property alerts and in-app notifications
Your push-notification token

What is kept, and for how long

Payment records (booking amount, M-Pesa receipt number, date) are kept for up to 7 years to meet accounting and tax obligations. Your phone number is removed from them.
A listing that a renter has already paid to book stays visible to that renter only, so they keep access to the contacts they paid for. It is hidden from everyone else.
If you are a feeder with unpaid wallet earnings, the balance record is kept until it is paid out.
